Here's an idea. Have an extremely small ceremony, only parents, or immediate family, and celebrate the next day with a kick ass party, in an amazing non-wedding dress, and throw a little wrench into conformity! Ok, I know, obviously not that simple, but I do think it could be a great idea, and definitely an option for couple who are looking to buck tradition, rather than embrace it. A wedding that the wonderful Kate Triano photographed says it all!

Did you see the newest wedding by Anne Ruthman that reminded me of this whole concept? I love it. I wish we were doing it....

This is such a great idea. We just enjoyed one of these small, then big weddings this weekend. The bride and groom had a dream wedding in Newport and then had a big BBQ bash on the Fourth. The whole thing was so perfect.
