Well, it seems the impossible may be possible, as I find myself three weeks from the big day, in the throws of post season baseball, and staring down the door of a World Series wedding. However, much like the weather, the Phillies going to the National League Championship series for the first time in fifteen years, is completely out of my control. I am a seven game series away from my fiance breaking down in tears of shear joy that the team he has loved for so long has brought him to the promised land.
And we will be in Florida. For our wedding. I am choosing not to think too hard about this fact, or feel insane guilt for taking him, as well as thirty other crazed fans away from this town during historic baseball times. The fact is I am one of those baseball fans. I am thrilled that the Phillies are doing this well, it is absolutely amazing to know what it is like to actually win! So, I say bring it on! I am adding another layer of uniqueness to the wedding by saying that I may be the only bride out there who wants a World Series wedding.
just think of how great it will be if they win. your fiance will never forget the year you got married because it will be the same year the phils won the world series :)

Because there would have had to be be TVs on during the reception. Frantic texting and score-checking during the vows. No one paying attention whatsoever. Red Sox fans cannot multitask!
I so get wanting the game/feeling terrible to take people away from it. Such drama!

Grrrr, I am cursed on your comment pages! Either they post twice or cut off half the comment!
Was saying before that a fellow Red Sox fan who was married on Saturday night was SO relieved there wasn't a playoff game scheduled that night, bc he would have hard a time paying attention at his own wedding.
But you know, it was stated a lot more charmingly than that. :-(
