My Old Kentucky Home...

I saw these in a wedding profiled on Southern Wedding Styles blog and thought immediately of my dear friend Emily, recently engaged, and planning her June '09 wedding in her hometown of Louisville, KY.  You will never meet a girl more proud of her Kentucky roots, and anyone that knows Kentucky, knows how big the Derby is every year.

What better way for guests to celebrate a Derby loving bride, but with a Derby Day staple, the Mint Julip!  And perhaps a very large and fabulous hat...  :)

A Rustic Ambiance

The big day for MB and Otis is tomorrow, and I am very much looking forward to it.  As I run out the door to pick up a college friend of ours who is coming into town for the festivities, I leave you with inspiration for a rustic affair.  Their wedding is set to take place at  Bartram Gardens, here in a Philly and promises to be a beautiful outdoor extravaganza.  To set the mood and get the wheels turning...

The Beauty of Details

I was reading Melissa Jill's photography blog, and came across a wedding she shot just last month in Arizona.  As I flipped through the pictures, I was not only taken with the details of the wedding itself, but also the details in the images that Melissa caught on camera.  Her work is beautiful, and it really proves how much all the little things can help to make an event so magnificent. 

The couple saw one another before the ceremony.  The genuine look of love and happiness on each of their faces is awesome.

This picture may be worth a thousand words! 

This is easily my favorite shot!  The parasols are such a great idea for an outside wedding, and I especially like the multiple color options. 

As Melissa said on her blog, she was just in the perfect spot for this picture.

Another great shot of the happy couple.  I love when people are photographed laughing, it makes you, as the viewer, smile.

Gorgeous details!  I really like the colors, and long tables with multiple floral arrangements running the length, so elegant.

Happy Memorial Day!

I saw this wedding profiled in The Knot magazine, and thought it a fitting post to kick of Memorial Day weekend, and the un-official start to summer.  The very talented Stacy Kane captured all the details of this fun loving couple, whose red and white color scheme fits perfectly into their outdoor, summer wedding in Maine.   I love the uniqueness of the event, especially the lobsters!  What a great way to incorporate a New England tradition into the festivities.

I Couldn't Have Said it Better Myself

I found this image from a wedding done by Duet Weddings and I absolutely love it!  It totally sets the mood for a fun and fabulous party, which is at the end of the day, is exactly what we are planning for with our wedding.  Enjoy!
